Appointments
Doctors may wish to refer their clients to see the HUM psychologist for a specific reason such as panic and anxiety disorders, sleep problems and/or depression. However, a doctor's referral is not necessary to see the psychologist. People wanting to see the psychologist don't have to wait to be referred by their doctor. Neither do they have to wait until they are desperate. It is always much better to seek help sooner rather than later.
To make an appointment with the HUM psychologist, Troy Speirs, please contact him by telephone on 0423 428 885 .
Appointments are available by arrangement on most weekday evenings from 6pm – 9pm or on Fridays from 8am - 12pm. Appointments will usually be offered to you during the week following your making an appointment. However, if an urgent initial appointment is needed please contact Troy Speirs to discuss your needs further.
Please note that HUM Psychology do not provide crisis or “walk in” services and that all services are offered as “appointment only” services.
If you need to cancel an appointment it would be appreciated if you could give at least 24 hours notice. A fee may be charged for late cancellations (less than 24 hours notice) or for failure to attend an appointment. Please contact the HUM psychologist to cancel and/or reschedule your appointment.
For emergency care please contact your local mental health service, Lifeline's Telephone Counselling Service on telephone 131114 or attend the Emergency Department of your nearest hospital.
