Rights and Responsibilities
Client rights are protected because psychologists follow strict guidelines for professional conduct that cover confidentiality. These ethical codes are set and monitored by the NSW Psychologists Registration Board or the Australian Psychological Society.
Consistent with this code that regulates a psychologist’s professional conduct when providing a service, clients also have rights and responsibilities that they should be aware of and that are important in ensuring that they receive quality psychological care.
If a client has any concerns about the quality of psychological care that is being provided by the HUM psychologist, he/she is encouraged to raise this concern directly with the psychologist. If you have any concerns about the conduct of the psychologist you may contact either the NSW Psychologists Registration Board or the Australian Psychological Society.
